Family History

Have you ever wondered how you came to be "who you are"?
Why you were born in a certain area?
Why you feel particularly in tune with the countryside/ town /seaside/ mountains?
Why you are musically or artistically gifted?
Why…………..?

The U3A Family History Group can help you get started on finding answers, show you where and how to look, how to record your findings and how to build your family tree.

Informal group meetings are usually on the fourth Monday afternoon in the month at 2.30pm, for general discussions about research methods, to share information and successes and to offer specific individual assistance when requested.

Group visits to research establishments are also proposed.

For initial research strategies, see the following sub pages via the links on the right.
