The University of the Third Age
The U3A is a learning organisation made up of independent groups run by their members. Members are normally retired or semi-retired from paid employment, and wish to use some of their leisure time to acquire new skills and help others do the same. To find out more about the history and ethos of the U3A, follow the link below to the website for the Third Age Trust.
Shepway U3A is part of the Kent network of U3As which organises joint events and the network page can be found by clicking on the Kent U3A Network link.

National U3A day Wednesday 2nd June 2021
Wednesday 2nd June is National U3A day and each U3A has been asked to do something to mark the day. Normally we would be putting on some sort of display in a hall but given the current circumstances that isn’t possible. We will be using a two hour slot on Zoom with the groups sorted into categories and each category having a slot on the Agenda to tell us what they have been doing during lockdown and where appropriate showing examples of their work/activities. We will also be showing photographs and videos of our activities over the past 10 years plus.
