Social Cycling

The aim of the social cycling group is very simple, to meet up with like minded people for a bike ride, a chat, and some lunch.

We aim to ride about once a month in better weather, less often in the winter.

We ride for an hour or so to somewhere nice for lunch then back again, avoiding hills and traffic as much as possible.

We ride as a group at the pace of the slowest rider, re-grouping at junctions and hill tops as required.

We aim to be as inclusive as possible so whatever your ability and whatever sort of bike you have you'll be very welcome. We do ask that your bike is safe to ride with satisfactory brakes, gears, tyres etc.

Please don't hesitate to get get in touch if you're interested in joining us or you have any questions. Just click on the pigeon at the top of the page to send us an email.

The links on the right give details of a few of our rides which you may find of interest. There is also a link to the risk assessment which we would appreciate you reading if you plan to join us.

Hope to see you on a ride sometime.

Simon and Triss Pollington.
