Members may like to know that the Hiking Group will officially restart this year from 20th May 2021. The hikes will continue to be on the 3rd Thursday of each month. Distances are typically between 5 -10 miles, depending on the location, type of terrain and time of year. Details of each hike are emailed to members about 2 weeks before the day, together with an OS route map, and information about the type of terrain, starting point and distance. Group size varies from month to month but may typically comprise no more than about 15- 20 walkers. All participants will be expected to comply with Covid-safe rules and undertake their own assessment of the risk, either to themselves or to other members.
New members of the u3a will be particularly welcome.
