Ukulele strumming for fun
The group meets on the 2nd and 3rd Thursday of each month from 2pm to 4pm. We meet in the West Bridgford Baptist church.
We play and sing approximately 20 songs each session with a break for chatting. Our songs are varied, mostly from the last century and are increasing as members suggest new ones. We are a member led group with members choosing the programmes & doing the ‘jobs’ which help us operate. The group is friendly and as our title suggests we believe in having fun.
We have our own website where our programmes are posted as well as all the songs with chords and words, plus other useful information.
We welcome new members and currently have a few vacancies. If you would like to join, contact David via the Bluebird.
If you have not played a ukulele yet but would to try we do have a few spare ukuleles you can borrow plus guidance on how to play. A member of the group takes new people to one side for part of the session to help them become familiar with the Uke, if they wish.
