Film Club
This is your opportunity to take part in an activities group celebrating classic films of now and yesteryear.
Have you ever hankered to see your favourite Movie where it truly belongs back on a big screen then if you do come and join us.
This group will meet at least once a month and if it takes off maybe more sessions can be arranged.
So whether its a Comedy... Musical... Thriller... Historical... Romance or even Western just let us know….and we will relive the magic !!!
The group meets on the first Thursday of each month in the centre of Tamworth at the RAF Club Lichfield Street normally between 1.45pm and 4.00pm. There is a monthly fee per person on those attending the session to cover the room hire only. Currently this is £2.00 per person.
If you have a request or a suggestion for a film to be shown or discussed in the future, contact the Film Studies Group Leader via the contact button on this web page or let us know at the regular all members monthly meeting. All requests for specific films to be shown will be considered subject to their availability and that they satisfy the current copyright licence held by the U3A Tamworth.
PLEASE NOTE THIS GROUP IS OPEN TO ALL TAMWORTH U3A MEMBERS WHO MAY WISH TO ATTEND EITHER ONE OR MORE OF THE SESSIONS.
Note your diaries and remember to tell your fellow members who may not use the internet.
Please check your Film Studies monthly email notification for full details, it's normally issued 1 week prior to the date. Should you attend the monthly all members meeting which is held at the Assembly Rooms normally on the second Wednesday of the month the film group's activities for the following month are covered within the general announcements section. Sessions normally start at 1.45pm but there might be a few exceptions so always check our webpage or email notification. Should you wish to purchase refreshments hot and cold drinks are usually available. Should you wish to bring your own refreshments then please do as there are no restrictions.
