The Scottish Dance Group meetings restarted on Thursday 28th September and will continue, with holiday breaks, until the end of April 2024.
The Group will be covering a mix of Scottish Country Dancing, Ceilidh Dancing and Old Tyme Dancing.
No previous experience of the dances is needed. Participants vary from complete beginners to experienced dancers. The content of the class is a mix of easier and more challenging dances. Folk who want to sit out some of the dances and have a rest will have the chance to do so. We also repeat some of the dances in different weeks to allow folk to master a core of useful dances.
No partner is needed, but U3A friends are always welcome.
Attendees are recommended to wear comfortable clothing to allow ease of movement. Suitable footwear includes soft shoes, dance pumps or ghillies.
Please bring your own water to drink as there are no refreshments.
