Annual Report 2023
Family History 1 - Carole
We meet once a month in the library at Bearsted Station where we are well looked after by Theresa, the librarian. After the uncertainties caused by the Covid pandemic, we now have a regular group of members able to attend.
Exploring family history involves individual research so our monthly meetings are used to exchange ideas about areas of research. We can use personal experiences and collective expertise to make progress. It is also fascinating to find out what others have managed to unearth from their own research.
We use the library’s two computers to access the subscription websites such as Ancestry and Find my Past. This has also proved useful for looking at the 1921 census.
