Local History

The Local History Group usually meet on the last Monday of the month to visit churches, museums and other places of interest in our area. Some meetings are outdoor and may involve a short walk.

Our 2024 programme is set out below.

27th May Methodism in Filey
10am at Methodist Church

24th June Scarborough South Cliff (Catherine Welch)
10am at Rotunda Museum, Scarborough

29th July Fisherfolk of Filey in dialect and song
10am at St Oswalds (Dan Eaton)

30th September Bridlington Priory and Bayle Museum
10.30am at Bayle Museum, Bridlington

28th October Filey, Carr Naze (Catherine Welch)
10am at Cleveland Way marker in Country Park
