History
The History group meets on the first Wednesday of the month, at St. Chad’s Church Hall, The Leasowe, Giffords Croft, Lichfield WS13 7HG, from 10:00am until 11.30-11.45.
We have a short break half-way through and you are welcome to bring your own refreshments.
The talks are given by Martyn Hall from Tamworth u3a and are extremely popular. They are very informative with sometimes surprising facts, that make us reassess what we thought we knew. Talks are accompanied by informative, and often amusing, illustrations.
For 2024 we are learning the history of 12 different countries.
Following a very successful Showcase Day in September 2023 we recruited several new members to the group, and have now reached our maximum number.
This means that there is now a waiting list and prospective members are informed when a place becomes available.
