Dear All

I have been asked by George Byard to forward the email below from Leyton Randall on to you all to get your comments. Please could you liaise with George concerning this please:

"Dear George

With regard to the above matter, one of our walking group members has suggested Warwick University (Scarman Training centre courtyard) as a possible venue and I have accordingly been in touch with senior catering staff and obtained certain basic information including price, availability and confirmation that they are licensed to dispense alcohol. During our ramble today, I have broached the matter with the
18 people who joined me, to assess their level of interest which appeared fairly positive:

1st or 8th December, round tables, 3 course meal plus coffee/tea £25.44 per person (self service buffet).
Choice of 2 starters, 5 main meals and 3 desserts, including cheese and biscuits (full details available if required).

I have been told by another member there is plenty of parking at the venue and that the quality of food is superb.

Could you please contact as many members of your Tuesday group as possible to obtain their thoughts, since I do not want overall numbers falling away from last years 55 attendees.

I realise that it is only February, but places tend to book up early.

Could you please let me have your group's overall reaction as soon as practically feasible..

Many thanks

Leyton Randall"

From a personal point of view Peter and I have been to various events at Scarman House and always found the food to be excellent and value for money.
