Ukulele - "Uke3A"
The Ukulele Group, going under the name of "Uke3A" is going strong with a good membership list.
We currently have space for new members, and both beginners and the more experienced, are welcome.
For the benefit of absolute beginners, a separate group is sometimes run to teach new starters the basics. Please click on Ukulele for Beginners for more details and to contact their leader.

The weekly sessions are held in the Priory Hall and roughly follow an agreed format. They aim to be fun and at the same time help us all to progress. We will include some of the activities below in a typical session, apart from the sing-song, which will always take place:
A "sing-song" session, just for fun, of songs we know and can do, ensuring we include some with easy chords so beginners can join in
Expand our repertoire by learning new easy songs and increase our ability by learning new, but more challenging, songs
Learning new Ukulele techniques (strumming patterns, finger picking, alternative chord shapes, etc.)
Learning a bit of basic music theory
Rehearsing material for any forthcoming gigs
