Freecycle
Contact Kate by sending an email using the link on the righthand side.
This is our Freecycle system.
It operates by people who no longer have a use for an item placing it on the Freecycle list - free of charge - making it available to anyone who may have further use for it. There is a form on the Table at the Notice Board on which you can add any items you wish to recycle.
Could anyone who no longer has the advertised items available, please contact me on the link, so they can be removed.
Some of the things we have recycled recently include - a dining table and chairs, a sewing machine, jigsaws, some musical instruments and a pressure cooker.
Since we are aware that some members do not regularly attend coffee mornings, we have decided to trial listing the items here as well. If you see something you may want or wish to add items, please contact me, by the email link. I will put you in touch with the person offering you the item.
There is also a list for items that members require. This list will operate in the same way,i.e. will be on the table at coffee mornings or through this website.

GENERAL RECYCLING
We have a plan to collate information about where you can locally recycle everyday waste that cannot go in our current recycling rubbish bins. This information is regularly announced at coffee mornings and sometimes in our newsletter.
If you still have unwanted items of jewellery, Heart Research UK is relaunching its 'Treasure Your Heart' campaign, in partnership with Beaverbrooks. They encourage people to donate any unwanted or broken jewellery. It will then be auctioned off with all proceeds going to fund research into the prevention, treatment and cure of heart disease.
Any jewellery can be donated, be it watches, costume, broken, odd or just not worn enough.
Envelopes can be found in all Beaverbrooks stores nationwide and dropped back in the store once filled.
You can also request an envelope via Heart Research UK's website and send it back directly to them.
We have requested some envelopes and hope to have them available shortly.
Used postage stamps, foreign coins, batteries and spectacles are collected at the door.
