Italian for Improvers
The overall aim of the group is to improve our conversational ability whilst brushing up on grammar as we are a mixed ability group although all have had some formal teaching which is essential.
We aim to conduct an hour of the meeting using only Italian as this really does help to get the language flowing.
We begin by sharing news of activities members have enjoyed since the last meeting and then normally look at grammar exercises which will have been completed as “compiti” (homework) sharing any difficulties we have encountered. We then either do a translation, sometimes first listening to it on a CD, or a game that involves speaking in Italian. We end with tea and biscuits and catch-up in English!
