We hold regular group meetings at which we:
- discuss our successes and any problems we are encountering with our own family history
- share our knowledge and information on resources that can help with our research
- invite speakers to talk to the group
At the regular Research Mornings we meet as a group to use the facilities (computers, viewers records etc.) for our own family history research. We also hold one-to-one sessions where the more experienced members of the group offer help and advice to those who are either just beginning their family tree research or are having problems with their research.
We meet from 10.00am onwards but people can turn up at whatever time is convenient to them. Around mid-day we usually re-group for tea/coffee and a chat at the Treasure House cafeteria.
In addition to the regular meetings we arrange group visits to Record Offices, History Centres and any other places of interest which may help with our research.
We receive regular newsletters from FH4U which is packed with information, links to websites and additional resources.
We welcome new members, whether you have done family history before or whether it is something you think you might like to get involved in. If you would like to join us contact Sue Symmons.
