| Tue May 7th | Coach trip to Shrewsbury and the Dana Prison The prison was opened in 1793 and decommissioned in March 2013 (200years) Departing from the Methodist Church at 11.00am We should arrive at the prison at 12.30pm where teas/coffees and cake will be served (this is included in the price) At 1.00pm we will have a 2 hour guided tour of the prison. Afterwards we will make a short journey on the coach to the Armoury Pub overlooking the River Severn for lunch (lunch is not included in the price) Coach will leave at 5pm and hopefully be back in Solihull for 6:30pm Price is £45.00pp to include coach travel, admission and guided tour of the prison, tea/coffee and cake and tip for the driver |
| Sat May 25th | Coach trip to Dorsington village’s “Garden of Heroes and Villains” - over 50 life sized bronze statues then we shall take lunch at the Bell Inn, Welford. Depart from the Methodist Church at 9.00 back about 4.30. Cost of the coach and entry to the garden £30 per person. Lunch at your own expense or BYO. Please sign up at the Core Meeting so this can be booked in. |
| Thu Aug 1st | Birmingham Canal Trip with Fish & Chips Our boat will be leaving Birmingham ICC at 1pm for a 3-hour trip on the Canal. Cost is £35 to include boat travel and Fish & Chips meal. Times for travelling by train into Birmingham will be available when the Summer Timetable is published. |
| Thu Aug 15th | National Memorial Arboretum and Barton Marina Coach will leave Solihull Methodist Church Car Park at 10am to go to the Arboretum. Free time to walk around the Arboretum and have coffees, etc. Coach will leave at 2pm to go to Barton Marina, where late lunches can be purchased if required. 4pm we leave for home. Cost £26 to include coach travel, donation to the Arboretum and tip for the driver. |

| Fri Oct 11th | Trip to Bombay Sapphire Gin Distillery and the town of Winchester Departing Solihull at 8.30am travelling to Winchester with time to explore this famous town, even maybe visiting the Winchester Cathedral (extra cost) before moving on to the Bombay Sapphire Gin Distillery. Here we will learn about the history of gin making and how the Bombay Sapphire company began, you will have the opportunity to have a sample of their world famous gin (or take it home with you). There will be enough time to purchase more gin before we make our way back to Solihull arriving around 6.30pm. First tour will commence at 2:30pm and second tour 30 minutes later, depending on numbers. Tour will last 1-1/2 hours. Cost per person is £40.00 which includes coach travel on an executive coach and admission to the Bombay Sapphire Gin Distillery escorted tour. This price is based on 35 members travelling on this trip. |
