Film Group

The aim of the group is to enjoy cinema-going and to discuss the films we have seen and increase our knowledge of film in general. We view and discuss films showing at cinemas/arts centres in the local area. We also discuss/recommend films that members have seen on TV or DVD.

At the end of each month all Film Group Members are sent a list of all films to be shown during the next month at Watermans Cinema in Brentford, with performance times, very brief story lines and short reviews if available. We then have a meeting on the third Friday morning of each month at 10.30am to discuss those films we have seen.

The next meeting of the Group will be on Friday 21st Febuary 2020, and will be at our usual venue - group members' Tim and George Carter’s home near Boston Manor station. I will remind group members before each meeting and confirm the venue details.

The last group viewing at Tim & George's house was on 7th February when we watched The Irishman, the latest film from Martin Scorsese starring Robert de Niro, Al Pacino and Joe Pesci.

We also have an occasional group outing to view a film, then have a discussion about the film afterwards. Details of any forthcoming outings are shown in 'Dates for Your Diary' below.
