New members are always welcome. No prior knowledge of Engineering or Transport is required. We most definitely welcome lady members

Our objectives and activities aim to expand the interest and knowledge of members in matters pertaining to every aspect of engineering and transport history and development. Members’ personal experiences and interests in engineering and transport are often a welcome subject of meeting presentations but there is no expectation of members in this respect.

The social aspect of our gatherings is very important. We have refreshments during each “winter” meeting and lunch is normally a significant element of “summer” field trips.

The links on this page are to some of the recent locations we have or will be visiting in the near future.

The following is a brief overview of our coming programme of talks and visits for the year, so if they are of interest please come along you will be most welcome.

For more details about our forthcoming activities please contact the group leaders.

Note - The group doesn't meet during the months of April, August and December.
