Branston & District

Natural History

The group meets on the first Friday of each month at the chosen venue ready for a 10.00 am start.

Meetings are arranged at sites in Lincolnshire and neighbouring counties.

Whilst birds are our prime target, interests can cover all aspects of Natural History with birds, wild flowers, butterflies and dragonflies in particular. The meetings last for 2 or more hours, walking steadily around the chosen reserve and using hides where they are provided. We have a picnic lunch and then have the option of continuing our visit or returning home.

Please refer to the Events page of the website for details of future venues.

Our April 2023 outing was to Messingham Sand Quarry
where there were some strange creatures to be found!
