Wines n’ vines
The first session of Wines n’ vines has been postponed to Thurs 27th Feb. We will be trying some wines from New Zealand where I spent some time last autumn visiting the vineyards and sights. We’ll start with a classic Sauvignon from the Marlborough region, try some other grape varieties now grown there and end up with a fresh and fruity Pinot noir. This is one of the newer wine industries in the world, which has experienced rapid growth in the last 30 years to produce some outstanding and very drinkable wines. Originally produced for themselves the value of wine exports has skyrocketed to a predicted 2billion NZ$ by 2020. We will look as to how the New Zealander’s have achieved such successes in their wine making and take a look at the ‘terroir’ in these unique islands and look at the ways in which viniculture has developed. If you’d like to join in please contact me to book your place or sign up at the Monthly meeting for the next session.
Enjoy a few nibbles with lively conversation at this very sociable group as we cogitate and savour a selection of wines, making note of colour, bouquet and taste and score them out of 10.
Wine tasting complimented with cheese and biscuits £5.00 each
The first meeting takes place on Thurs 27 Feb at 7pm at Sue’s home, 23 Brook Lane, Warsash.
