Local History Group
The HEADINGTON U3A LOCAL HISTORY GROUP meets 2 pm-3 pm on the 4th Tuesday of each month EXCEPT June, August and December. The venue is on the stage at the Headington Community Centre in Gladstone Road, OX3 8LL.
All speakers are from the membership of the group. For those preferring not to speak, but are able to prepare a topic, please do say. There is also the option to jointly prepare and present talks.
Each presentation is about 40 minutes, which leaves plenty of time for discussion and questions. We also have two social events with refreshments, (July and December) which allows us to exchange ideas and to get to know one another. It is a very friendly group.
Members are requested to contribute £2 per annum to cover the cost of the venue.
[Headington U3A members who are visitors to the group are asked to contribute 20p to the meeting attended].
