COFFEE MORNINGS AND TEA AFTERNOONS!! Thank you to everyone who helped make these a great success in 2023! They will be back this year 2024! Watch this space!

These are a chance to come along and socialise with friends and meet your executive committee members. These events have been very popular in the past so when available for 2024, please book your place early to ensure your attendance.

Please book your place with Winnie the secretary (secretary@u3a-luton.org.uk ) so that we know how many to cater for.

We may from time to time have to cancel a monthly meeting because of bad weather. If there are last minute changes you will be advised by email or you can call our voicemail telephone number for confirmation 01582 803923. A member of the committee will call you back.

There are many free events and tutorials which you can register for on the National u3a website. They include cookery, garden talks, singing, poetry, maths, Latin, crosswords cryptic, creative writing, philosophy, law, Japan, Geology, Van Gogh. Click on the u3a tab on the top menu, Learn, Laugh, Live !

On the last MONDAY morning of each month (with some exceptions) a meeting for all members, is held in the Riverside Suite at Venue 360 in Gypsy Lane, Luton (unless otherwise advised). Directions to Venue 360 from Parkway station can be found here. It begins at 9:45 which gives members an opportunity to meet their friends and Committee members over a cup of tea/coffee, browse the Bring & Buy stall or buy a book or jigsaw or bric-a-brac. Sometimes there is also the opportunity to hear about and reserve tickets for outings. There is usually an entrance charge of £4.00 for the monthly meetings. Please remember to bring your membership card with you to sign in. It is also crucial that you enter an 'in case of emergency' telephone number on the back of your card in case you fall ill during an event or when you attend your group sessions.

At most meetings a Speaker gives an illustrated talk for 45 to 60 minutes. This starts at 10:30 am. After questions we give out any notices about groups or items of interest.
