London History Groups

London History 1

Leader/co-ordinator: Gill O'Hare

Meets on the last Thursday of the month to visit London sites, museums and exhibitions to learn about them and to share an interesting day out with a friendly group. Members share the planning of each visit if they wish.


London History 2

Leader/contact: Hilary Stubbs

Meets monthly except in August on the 2nd Thursday, 2pm at St. Augustine’s Church unless there is a visit, to explore and study the history of London through visits, talks, discussions and quizzes to familiarise and extend members’ knowledge of the London area. The hall opens at 1-45pm for members to pay subs and book a place on a forthcoming visit. The talk or discussion begins at 2pm, followed by questions, refreshments and notices.

London History 3

Leader/contact: Sheila Barnes

Meets monthly on the 2nd Wednesday, 2pm at St Augustines Church Hall, Icknield Way Luton to learn about the history of London through visits to houses, museums or walks with a guide. It has a speaker at its monthly meetings.
The afternoon runs as for London History 2.
