Barn Dancing
We meet at the Baptist Church, Wheeler's Green Way, Thatcham from 2.30-4.30 p.m.
Our caller, Mike, is a member of Hungerford u3a and is also a paid caller at festivals and events; we are very lucky to have a professional at no cost. He makes the sessions fun, teaches us simpler ways to do steps if we're not up to the more energetic stuff, and has a brilliant music kit that slows the music down while we learn a new dance - without sounding like a 78 played at 45! You can also sit out, listen to the music and laugh as the rest of us tie ourselves up in knots. It's good exercise and great fun.
The cost is £4 a session, which covers hall hire, refreshments and Mike's mileage.
