u3a uniquely gives retired or semi-retired people the opportunity to meet and make new friends while sharing interests with the chance to learn new ones.
Our motto is learn, live, laugh
Lifelong learning is the key, but not as we know it from our past life, there are no exams, no qualifications are sought, no expectation to achieve, no competition. With enjoyment being a prime motive you select the interest group/s that suits you, and join it. Members are also invited to start new groups bringing together those with similar interests.
We have many interest groups including Art, Music, Photography, Railways, Tours and Trips out. (Take a look at the list on this website) We are self-funding and costs are kept to a minimum.
General Meetings are at 10.30 am on the third Monday of the month in All Saints Church Hall, Cleadon.
Enjoying being part of a u3a, building friendships, being part of the u3a world. Becoming enthusiastic and curious can have a powerful influence on our wellbeing.
