Wine Appreciation

Group Leader Ina Smith

The Wine Appreciation group meets to taste, discuss and learn about wine, exploring grape varieties, wine regions and countries, with occasional visits to local vineyards, to improve our knowledge of our favourite juice.

Meetings take place on the first Thursday of each month. Members take it in turn to host the meeting, select the topic, choose the wines and lead the discussion; costs are evenly shared and covered by a modest contribution.

As a result, we all get to taste wines that are new to us and which we might never have otherwise tried. As you can imagine, meetings are convivial as well as informative.
