Meeting on 1st Wednesday of the month. All meetings start at 2pm in the Blue Room, Stamford Arts Centre, St Mary's Street, Stamford. Cost per meeting is £3.00 for members, non-members £4.

Future Meetings:

March 4th “Passports, Assassins, Traitors and Spies” by nationally acclaimed speaker, Martin Lloyd. Exciting passport stories from history.

April 1st "Milestones and Turnpikes” The history of road developments in Stamford and South Lincs, including the history of the Great
North Road, and how they dealt with the age of rail.

May 6th "Uffington House and the Bertie Family" - Life and house design from the “Post Republic” period in 1660.

June 3rd "Collyweston Stone Slate – Found only in the Stamford area, why it was renowned as the best quality and prettiest roofing since Roman times. Our speaker is an ex-miner and manager.

The History Group is going from strength to strength under Nigel's inspirational leadership and his knack for finding interesting speakers.
