The Environment and Science group of Havant U3A also invite us to attend any of their meetings - see group list to see their programme and information on how to join..
***********************************************
The objective of the group is to look at the Science, Engineering & Technology behind a whole variety of phenomena, both natural and man-made, often with a topical relevance.
- Members of the group are encouraged to bring issues that interest them, either to explain to the rest of the group, or to ask the group for answers.
- The main monthly meeting is where the group member present the technological background to their findings.
- There is a wide variation in level of difficulty, and ranges over the interests and knowledge of the group members this makes for an interesting opportunity for discussion.
We agree an annual agenda for discussion topics that will be lead by the individual group members - Multi Media is used to deliver the presentation, with access to the internet - YouTube etc. See Previous Presentations for some examples of what has gone before.
The Science Engineering & Technology group meets on the 4th Tuesday of each month at 09:30 for a 10:00 Start. There is a small charge to cover the expenses of hiring the hall.
The group is currently hoping to expand. Please email me at SET Leader if you would like to join this group
