Walking group Strollers- easy walks

Strollers'

Group leader Michael (click to contact)

The group started June 2017 with the objectives taking very easy walks. It was expected members would join when they found our other walking groups were getting difficult for them.

We walk round parks, on canal tow paths alongside rivers, on easy paths making sure there are no stiles to climb.

No walk will exceed three miles we try to keep to level paths, but Stockport being a hilly area we cannot avoid some easy hills which we take particularly slowly stopping should any walker require it!

We stop to admire gardens, views, flora and bird life.

So it is all very easy, happy ending with a picnic, cafe or public house. We use buses to achieve the start and return home using same transport. We meet on the first Tuesday monthly. The walks are lead by members.

A programme is published and we welcome all who wish to have an easy stroll and good companionship
