We meet: Normally on the fourth Wednesday of the month. Assemble at 10.00 for 10.30 start (note; this is new for 2023)
Our meetings are held at the Wisdom Centre in the town centre (from the square, through the arch, head towards the Memorial Park and it is on the left). Selected meetings will be simultaneously available via Zoom.
If requested by the Group Co-ordinator, please advise the co-ordinator in advance if you intend to come along in person - this is to allow sufficient seating and beverages to be provided by the venue.(normally this is not necessary)

Group lead: David Painter Coordinator: Graham Woodbury

Our Activities: We have a varied programme including talks by members and guest speakers, and problem-solving sessions. From time to time we organise trips to archives including the National Archives at Kew. We charge an annual membership to cover the cost of the hall, tea/coffee and biscuits and any speaker's fee.

Members of the U3A are welcome to join the group; come along and give it a try without committment. Invitations to join our meetings on-line will be sent by e-mail to all registered members shortly before each meeting. Any U3A member wishing to join the group may do so by contacting the Coordinator using the message link on this page.

We hold a number of relevant books
Items can be borrowed by members for up to 3 months, preferably by collection at a group meeting, or by making arrangements for collection. In either case please message the Group Coordinator via this site indicating which items are of interest. Arrangements can then be made for collection.
