Local History 2
Our meetings take various forms, occasionally we have a speaker, sometimes we visit places of interest such as churches, castles and museums. Particularly in the winter, we meet in my home and discuss a topic of interest which we have all researched. Our last visits were to the Cider Museum in Hereford and to the Violette Szabo Museum. A recent speaker was Geoffrey Blake who brought along various documents and photographs related to his ancestor Thomas Blake. Our latest topic for research was ‘Inns and Pubs of the area.’
We would love to welcome new members, but the size of my living room places a limit at the moment. If we decided on a larger venue for our meetings we would be able to expand.
