Living history

Members of the Living History group are interested in exploring their own histories, those of members of their family or people they have known. This is with a view to writing or recording memories for family, friends or maybe wider publication - or just for themselves.
What is most enjoyable is the two hours spent in groups discussing our experiences and sharing memories. 'Prompt' sheets or photos are provided to get us going but they usually aren't necessary! Writing or recording, if done, are best carried out afterwards at home where it is quieter!
Sometimes, those who wish to, read their writing to the group at the next meeting.
No previous experience of writing is necessary but some hints and tips on writing are available if anyone wants them. All that is needed is a curiosity to learn more about the times we have lived through.
You can contact the Group Leader by sending a message on the Contact page of the website.
