We are a friendly, inquisitive group who want to find out who our ancestors were, where they lived, what they did etc. We are all at different stages in our research but we share our expertise, helping and suggesting ways in which we can learn more and break down our brick walls.
Our aim is to help each other make progress, share successes and avoid pitfalls.
The format of meetings varies from presentations on using IT to record family tree research to learning where to look for specific records such as workhouse records and bastardy orders. Often meetings end with members helping each other or doing private research on the library computers which offer free access to Ancestry and Find My Past.
