Borehamwood & Elstree

Rambles

First Tuesday every month at 9.30am. At least 5 miles. Usually bring picnic lunch and drink.
A few of our walks are local, but for the rest we share cars or use public transport.
Rambles tend to be shorter in winter, but in summer can occasionally be as long as 10 miles on easy terrain. Most people wear walking boots, but waterproof trainers with a non-slip sole are equally good, as are wellingtons after heavy rain.

Any member of our U3A may join a ramble, but you will need to notify the leader at least 2 days in advance, to be given details of meeting point and lifts arranged if using cars.

Provisional programme:
6 Feb Regents Canal walk (Mile End to Angel or Kings Cross)
5 March Circular walk round Greenwich and Blackheath
2 April Finsbury Park, Woodberry Wetlands, and New River Path to Canonbury
7 May Circular walk from Aldenham (car share)
