Lorna has regretfully decided to step down from her long involvement with the group, having found her increasing hearing difficulties too problematic to continue.
I studied Italian at university, but had rather let it lapse, so was delighted to find this group on moving to Great Baddow last year. Finding myself in charge so soon has come as a bit of a shock, as I have no great teaching experience, but the atmosphere is convivial and relaxed. My drawback is that I am not available every Wednesday, as I make trips to France at least four times a year.
Our small group meets on most Wednesdays from 10am to 12.
We are trying to improve our grammar, spend some time in conversation, and are currently reading a novel by Isabel Allende which stretches our vocabulary and translation skills.
Whether you are a recent beginner or have more experience, we would be happy to welcome you. A fondness for biscuits, while not essential, would be a distinct advantage!
