| Wed May 1st | Joint Out and About/History Visit to Haverigg to include a guided tour of Haverigg Inshore Rescue Station and sculpture,' Escape to Light' Lunch at Harbour Hotel followed by talk about RAF Millom and Frederick Cadham a young Canadian pilot. Choices for lunch are cod/scampi/Cumberland sausage/gammon all with chips or chicken curry with rice. | Thu May 30th | Visit to Haverigg Prison. A welcome to the new Departure Lounge Cafe for coffee - hear about the smokery/ plant nursery/wood joinery. Opportunity to buy plants , smoked goods , vegetables etc from the prison shop. Simple lunch of pie or sandwich, drink and cake. Call at St Michael's Church, Bootle en route home for a possible short talk. Cost will be £20 Book via Vera 019467 25213 |
