Camelot Area

History

Our style of working is to choose a general topic for the year, and then for individual members to choose a particular theme of interest to research. At our monthly meetings we report back for 5 to 10 minutes and discuss our findings. There are between 6 and 10 people at each meeting.

This year (17/18) the group’s topic is the 1600's; my topic is the dawn of religious tolerance. Someone else is doing Newspapers; another the Stuarts and so on. (See image showing example of two charts prepared for discussion). Because we are all doing something within the same general topic, the discussions are stimulating.

We meet once a month (usually the first Monday) from 2:30 to 4:30 in Hadspen Village Hall.

Over the past few years we end the year with a meal themed about our topic. All members contributing a dish.

If you are interested in joining the group, the best approach is to come to a meeting and see how it all works. If you'd like to so, please contact us via the "Group Enquiries" link that you can access on the "Contact" page.
