Film Club

Hello everyone,
Film Club now takes place at Winmarleigh House. Meetings are usually on the second Tuesday of the month. Films start at 10.30am. Tea or Coffee will be available in the interval (this needs to be booked when you arrive).
The programme this year will be the usual eclectic mix of films with some discussion before or after the film as time allows.
Subtitles are available for most films if requested.
Places will still need to be booked in advance at the monthly meeting or by email if possible so the appropriate seating can be put out ( however you are unlikely to be turned away if you just turn up!) As usual we ask for a £1 contribution per member at the start of the year to help fund the purchase of new films.

| Tue May 7th | Save the Cinema Save the Cinema is a British drama film written by Piers Ashworth and directed by Sara Sugarman, based on the true story of Liz Evans, a hairdresser and leader of a youth theatre in Carmarthen, Wales, who began a campaign in 1993 to save the Lyric cinema from closure. The film features very little native Welsh talent, with principal roles led by Jonathan Pryce, Samantha Morton, Tom Felton, Adeel Akhtar and Susan Wokoma. |

It stars Tom Hanks in the title role, with Mariana Treviño, Rachel Keller, and Manuel Garcia-Rulfo in supporting roles. |
