Ukulele
Ever wanted to learn to play an instrument? Well this is your opportunity.
If you are interested and would like to be part of a friendly, outgoing group of individuals, enjoy music and a sing along, then this is for you.
From absolute beginners to the more accomplished, all are welcomed. If you are new to the instrument, you don't need to be able to read music. We make music by playing chords and we can teach you how to play a few easy chords. From then on, like any other instrument, practice makes perfect - or better, anyway. Players of varying standards can play together very harmoniously.
If you are interested in joining the group then contact Pauline Jones, group leader, via the message button at the top right of this page and let her know if
• you are an absolute beginner or not,
• you already have your own Ukulele or if you would like to borrow one initially to see what it's all about.
So why not give it a try, you won’t regret it!
The group meets in Allithwaite Community Centre at 10am for 2 hours on the 2nd and 4th Fridays of each month, all year round.
