Outings

The list of outings and social events organised by the SU3A K2 Outings Secretary and other volunteers can be found under the Events Tab on the K2 website.

The Outings Secretary organises coach daytrips from April to September (with the exception of August) and around early summer starts booking a variety of Christmas related events eg Christmas Carols at Royal Albert Hall, Christmas Lunch, Christmas market daytrips.

Details of new outings are automatically emailed out to members who have joined the Outings mailing list. To join the mailing list, please contact the Outings Secretary using the form on the Contacts webpage providing your name and membership number.

You can book a place by requesting a booking form or in person at the monthly meeting at the Citadel. The Outings Secretary will be found at one of the tables in the tea room.

However, due to the popularity of outings, requesting / receiving a booking form does not save you a place. A place is only saved when payment is received. No payment = no place. Payment can be made in cash or by cheque. Cheques received after all the places on an outing have been sold out will be destroyed.

Places are only open to current K2 members.

The Refund / Cancellation policy is detailed below:

Spelthorne U3A K2 Outings Refund Policy
This policy applies to outings organised by the SU3A K2 Outings Secretary.

If a member books a place on an outing and subsequently finds they are unable to go, any payments they have paid (deposit or full price) may be refunded as follows:

• A refund will be issued if the Outings Secretary finds another person to fill the place.
• Members may also find another member of K2 to fill their place but must advise the Outings Secretary by email.
• In any circumstances where no person is found to fill the place, the Outings Secretary reserves the right to retain all or part of the payments, including travel costs and entrance money such as might be needed to meet the cost of the visit or outing,
• In the unlikely event of an outing being cancelled by the Outings Secretary, all payments will be refunded.
