THIS GROUP CONTNUES VIA EMAIL AND 'ZOOM'
The German group runs on-line to accommodate others from around the country as part of the U3A network and includes a participant from Germany. Being on-line we have space for more members. We do a range of activities which include: German conversation, reading and discussing a simple on-line German news article, looking at items from the magazine Stern, some dreaded 'Grammatik', quizzes, Christmas carols (at the correct time of year!) and anything else people wish to offer. Currently we are doing a description of every shop/business in Halstead in German, this fits in with the national survey of High Streets. In addition, there is the occasional dip into Jane's motorcycle travels to Africa via the Middle East which she has to do in German, with a lot of help from the group.
We meet the first and third Monday of the month 10.00 - 12.00.
