In the meantime Wallasey u3a are holding online talks using Zoom, the first of which, 'Kerala- a journey through South West India' was a great success. Our next talk was delivered by Barry Humphreys, 'Our Christmas Songs'. Songs we have bought since the 50s. Again, a great success with even more people attending.
Our Christmas Party on Thursday 17th December proved to be popular and great fun with Liz Booth organising quizzes, two stories read by Linda Redhead and Nick Wootton and a bingo called by Brian Redhead.
On Thursday 28th of January we had our third talk, hosted by Tim Young, about The Ladies of the Air.
Painshill Park was the focus of our attention in February by a volunteer worker Shelle Howes.
Since then we have had numerous quizzes, a murder mystery with eight cast members in full costume and many more talks which have become a popular part of our lockdown routine.
In order to join in our future talks you will need to have already installed Zoom on to your computer, Android or Apple device. See below for the link for guidance for installing Zoom or else contact our IT expert Sheila Ross on firstname.lastname@example.org
