Monthly Meetings at the Grosvenor Ballroom are cancelled until further notice

However, Wallasey u3a are holding online talks using Zoom, the first of which, 'Kerala- a journey through South West India' was a great success. Our next talk was delivered by Barry Humphreys, Our Christmas Songs. Songs we have bought since the 50s. Again, a great success with even more people attending.

Our Christmas Party on Thursday 17th December proved to be popular and great fun with Liz Booth organising quizzes, two stories read by Linda Redhead and Nick Wootton and a bingo called by Brian Redhead.

On Thursday 28th of January we had our third talk, this time hosted by Tim Young, who told us all about The Ladies of the Air. Painshill Park was the focus of our attention in February when we were given a virtual guided tour by a volunteer worker from the Park, Shelle Howes. Our next event a quiz was organised by Linda Redhead in February and we have another quiz on Thursday 11th. This time organised by Dot Renshaw. Our usual talk on Thursday March 25th will be our first ever murder mystery! We will have eight cast members in full costume who will act out a short play to help you decide who is the person responsible for the dreadful murder of Fifi the young American starlet.

In order to join in our future talks you will need to have already installed Zoom on to your computer, Android or Apple device. See below for the link for guidance for installing Zoom or else contact our IT expert Sheila Ross on sheilaross999@google.com
