Line Dancing
The Line Dancing group hold sessions every Friday, at the Festival Drayton Centre, under the guidance of Suzanne Edwards.
We have been meeting every Friday morning at Festival Drayton Centre during school term time from 10:15 to 12:00 for over 15 years.
Membership is still healthy. We currently have about 18 active members including Tony (special needs) who all come when they can and a few go to the Country Dancing group every other week.
We held our annual Christmas Social at the British Legion at the beginning of December 2022. Despite the bad weather, we have a good turnout including a coupe of ladies who were invited to join us who are no longer able to dance. Our usual bring and share buffet was again a veritable feast and we danced a lot of members' golden oldie favourite dances.
The raffle this year raised £60 for the local First Responders.
New members are warmly welcomed. Don't worry if you have never line danced before as we start every session with the beginner dances and it is a great way to socialise and take gentle physical and mental exercise.
Come and try before you buy for free - just wear a pair of comfortable shoes!
