Nordic Walking
Nordic Walking is a whole-body exercise regime aimed at improving both cardio-vascular performance and muscle tone. It's also good for folk with minor balance issues as the use of walking poles provides greater stability and improves general posture. And, it’s clinically proven that outdoor exercise is beneficial for both physical and mental well being.
We started the group in April 2018 and we plan to offer regular (twice weekly) 75-90 minute walks of between 3 and 4 miles in the countryside around Odiham, to everyone who has attended our 3-4 week Nordic Walking technique course.
Everyone walks at their own pace but we encourage everyone to push themselves – just a bit, each week.
After the walks we encourage the walkers to gather for a sociable chat and coffee.
