Wollaton u3a: Local History Group update March 2024
Provisional Programme to the end of the year.
Our Group meets at 10.30 on the 4th Thursday of the month.
We have a combination of meetings at Wollaton Library and Trips out to locations of local interest etc.
Note. Our numbers are resticted to 25, because of room capacity. If interested please contact convenor Lucy Cooper to check for space, if full you will be placed on the waiting list.
25 Jan: Nottinghamshire Asylums talk, David Stewart, Wollaton Library
22 Feb: University Archive visit, £3 charge
28 March: Notts Women’s History Group - ‘The Clergyman the Widow and the Milkman’ talk, Wollaton Library £3 or £4 a head
25 April: TBC , Visit to the new main library and local study centre. 10.30 or 2.00 pm
23 May: Visit to Wollaton Walled Garden, Andrew Hamilton, cost circa £5 includes booklet
27 June: Lace Market visit, Graham Woodward, no charge
25 July: TBC, Newstead Abbey, Costume Archive visit, £12 per person charge
22 Aug: TBC
26 Sept:Ruddington Framework Knitters Museum visit, ~ ~-£8 pp min charge
24 Oct:TBC, Nottingham Theatres and Music Halls' talk, Graham Woodward , no charge
28 Nov: Wollaton Library, Quiz and Planning for 2025
