Group contact: Alison MacDonald and deputy: Mary Darling

The members volunteer to research a specific topic then present their finding to the group. Recent topics have been the derivation of local street names, the history of papermaking in Penicuik, local landmark buildings and local railway development.

The group also makes visits to nearby places of historical interest.

Group meetings usually take place on the second Monday of the month at 2pm in St. James the Less Church Hall.
