Caterham & District

Events

The Meetings listed below are organised by Caterham u3a.

Talks are usually held on the last Monday of the month normally at 2.30pm at the United Reform Church in Caterham Valley with the exception of August, December and January with November being our AGM which is also held at the church. Talks are free to member although non members are charged £2.00. Please look out for the email that is sent out approximately a week before with details of the talk and we hope you will come alone and enjoy (I hope) a good talk with tea and coffee and a natter afterwards.

Details of previous talks can be found on our Previous events page.

We are now holding regular Coffee Mornings in various venues on a regular basis. All members are emailed details by Joyce our social co-ordinator.

Surrey u3a Network Study Days include talks by outside speakers, and are held on the 3rd Friday of the month at the Menuhin Hall (near Leatherhead). Talks are open to u3a members (£10 charge, non-u3a guest £12).

The Outings and Social Events listed below are organised by either the Social Co-ordinator or individual groups. Follow the link to the respective group page for further details.

Also check out the Other Events listed below, which may be of interest to you.

We are hoping that more members will be prepared to help organise events. Please contact our Social Co-ordinator if you would like to get involved, or have other suggestions for maintaining a flourishing and diverse social calendar for Caterham u3a.

Caterham u3a organised a coach holiday to various locations in the UK for a number of years. This year, we experimented with a week’s holiday to Rouen in Northern France. The trip was by coach, and included visits to Monet’s Garden and the Palace at Versailles. It was fully booked and proved to be very popular, so we are already planning another similar coach holiday to Germany for 2024.
