Science & Scientific Enlightenment
Contact: David Grimes. 01254 240707 davidgrimes1@mac.com
This Group, has been meeting since March 2019.
It meets on the third Wednesday of each month, at 10am, and meetings are held at Trinity Community Hub. Members will receive an email in the week before the meeting, and if anyone else wishes to join or needs help please contact the group convenor David Grimes.
A wide range of Science related topics will form the basis of presentations mainly by members.
"Enlightenment" refers not only to our own increasing understanding, but to the rapidly burgeoning understanding of science through the 17th, 18th and 19th Centuries.
As well as increasing our understanding of scientific topics, there will be plenty of time and space for discussion as well. We always have a space for “Science of the Month” to discuss recent developments as released in the press.
No scientific background is necessary - just curiosity and an interested mind!
Hydrogen, fuel of the future?
on 20th October the Scientific Enlightenment group learnt about the pluses and minuses of using more Hydrogen as a fuel. This is much in the news at the moment. David has produced a succinct summary of this - well worth reading! See the link at the top right of this page.
