Church Stretton

Hill Walking

The purpose of the Hill Walking Group is to fill a gap by providing a variety of longer, all day hill walks than are currently available with the other walking groups in the Stretton area.

The programme is a mixture of mountain walks, hill walks and some lower level more local walks usually between 10 and 12 miles. In the Summer we are prepared to travel up to 2 hours from Stretton to explore new areas and lunch may be either a picnic or at a pub. We share cars and petrol costs.

We meet twice a year to plan the programme and walk roughly once a month but the days are variable depending on the availability of the leaders. Each leader is happy to discuss their walk with potential walkers and provide further information.

The Hill Walking Group is expanding in membership and walking areas so if you would like a challenge or to revisit certain mountains check in our programme - send a message to Dick - to see if there is a walk suitable for you. Always check dates and times with Dick or the walk leader as walks may change at the last minute due to unfavourable weather conditions. We look forward to meeting you.
