|Group Leader:||Iona Copley|
|Meeting Venue:||Members' homes|
|Time:||Third Thursday of the month, 10am-noon.|
The aim of this group is to share our sewing experience and to learn new ideas and techniques from each other. The group welcomes anyone who is interested in stitching, from novice to experienced sewer. All you need is a piece of sewing – for example, embroidery, cross stitch, patchwork, needlepoint or something that you have never tried before. That’s why we call our group “Uninhibited”.
Most of us bring hand sewing projects because of the limitations of working round a table, but a sewing machine is available if required. From time to time, members may also give a short “Show and Tell” demonstration of a particular technique or a workshop they have attended.
During the current restrictions, we have been meeting on Zoom so that members can keep in touch personally. It is also an opportunity to show any sewing work we have been doing during lockdown. We look forward to resuming our sewing meetings as soon as it is safe for us to do so.
